Qualified Electric Maintenance Service repair technicians remanufacture drives using original engineering specifications and all revisions. Experienced personnel inspect all critical dimensions for wear and compliance with specifications.

The Service Manager will have a quotation for repair or rebuilding a drive within days of receiving the drive at EMS. Emergency conditions causing production down time are processed immediately. Every effort is made to repair the unit and put it back into production in the shortest possible time. The EMS Repair Department is sensitive to production needs of customers.

The standard remanufacturing process includes the following steps:
 | Disassemble and clean the drive.
| Visually inspect for any wear points.
| Measure air gap and other critical dimensions and compare to specifications.
| Examine coils and other components and determine if they need replacement.
| Measure concentricity and squareness of bearing caps and sleeves.
| Examine and test generator fields and rotors.
| Paint interior surfaces and insulate interior components as needed.
| Replace all bearings, gaskets and seals.
| Reassemble the drive.
| Test the remanufactured drive to industry standards.
| Paint the exterior surfaces of the remanufactured drive.
