This generator field fits some Dynamatic® and Louis-Allis® eddy current drives in the ACM-9083, ACM-9091, ACM-9092, ACM-910 and ACM-9103 frames. The generator field is mounted into a housing that bolts onto the output end bracket. The tachometer provides a feedback signal to the controller proportional to the output speed of the drive. The controller uses this signal to maintain an accurate output speed. This is only the field portion of the complete tachometer.
