This coupling spider insert is made from Urethane and is for a coupling for a higher torque requirement than standard for a shaft-to-shaft connection. A full coupling consists of two coupling halves and a spider (insert). This is for the Lovejoy L075 series couplings.
This coupling spider is a non-standard insert. This insert is made from Urethane. Urethane has 1.5 times greater torque capability than the standard SOX insert and offers good resistance to oil and chemicals. However, compared to the standard insert, it provides less dampening effect and operates in a narrower temperature range of -30°F to +160°F.
The full coupling will require two coupling halves (specify bores, they may be different) and a spider (insert). This fits the L075 series.
